My name is Seska and I’m so happy to see you on my blog, TheBalancedWorkLife.com.
I started this blog because I work a very unconventional schedule. I have been working 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule since 2014. There aren’t many resources on having a healthy work/life balance for those of us who work an unconventional schedule. Through a lot of trial and error, I learned to balance my work schedule with my personal life and my health. My purpose is to educate my readers on how to optimize their personal and professional lives and what mistakes need to be avoided. In my blog, you will find the best life hacks to function optimally at work while still having a personal life.
This is a space dedicated to cheap and easy nutrition, no nonsense meal preps, health and lifestyle hacks to make working an unconventional schedule easier. I also include a little shift work humor because sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself and your life.
I dedicate this blog to the workers whose workday is outside of the norm, but everyone has a place here. Do you work a typical 9-5 day? Many professionals take their work home with them, so you really are working more than 9-5. Are you a stay-at-home parent? Unless you have staff to raise your children, cook the meals and manage your home, you are probably the busiest person reading this. Regardless of your occupation or work hours, this blog will give you the life hacks needed to better leverage your time and the motivation needed to make positive changes to your life.
When I’m not working and writing on my blog, I’m a health and fitness fiend. I love to work out a lot and I love to cook affordable, healthy meals. I live out in the country so I love small scale gardening and indulging my big dog.
